Our Rooms

Our setting operates from 5 different rooms.

Each room is decorated and furnished accordingly to the age group that the room covers.

Jelly Babies

Our Jelly Baby room supports children aged 3 - 18 months. Our current ratio is 1 adult: 3 children and the maximum amount of children we can have is 9 at any one time. This room has a very basic routine and its main focus is to settle in, care for and support the 3 prime areas of learning development with children - these being 'Communication and Language', 'Personal, Social and Emotional', and 'Physical' development.

This room has a separate cot room and nappy changing room. All rooms are bright, welcoming and comfortable for playing and exploring.

Jelly Tots

Our Jelly Tot room supports children aged 18 months to 2 1/2 years. Our current ration starts with 1 adult to 3 children, but as a child turns 2 years, the ratio amends to 1: 4. The maximum amount of children we can have is 10 at any one time. When children transition in to this room we offer a slightly more challenging routine, which continues to cover all previous themes mentioned, but in addition to this we now add more complex sensory play, and explore basic themes in the remaining 4 areas of learning, these being 'Mathematics', 'Understanding of the World', 'Literacy' and 'Expressive arts and design'.

This colourful and bright room is situated in the main section of the setting and has access to the changing area/ children's bathroom and the outside area.

Jelly Beans

Our Jelly Bean room supports children aged 2 1/2 years to 4 years. The maximum amount of children we can have is 18 at any one time. When children transition in to this room we offer activities and learning opportunities that help towards preparation for the transition in to school. In this room we plan in accordance to all areas of learning (as previously mentioned) alongside children's interests.

This room is full of a broad range of equipment and resources for children to select and interact with. This room is also situated in the main section of the setting and has access to the changing area/ children's bathroom and the outside area.

Jelly Bears

Our Jelly Bear room is our 4th room and completes our nursery.

This room also supports children aged 2 1/2 years to 4 years. The maximum amount of children we can have in this area is also 18 at any one time. When children transition in to this room we offer activities and learning opportunities that help towards preparation for the transition in to school. In this room we plan in accordance to all areas of learning (as previously mentioned) alongside children's interests.
