Fees and funding

Our fees

In order to secure a place here we do kindly require a deposit of £150.00 - (£100.00 of which is returned to you at the end of 'nursery' life with us)

Our fees are calculated over 50 weeks of the year, and divided in to 12 equal monthly payments

Government funding schemes

Here at Steps to School Day Nursery, subject to strict availability, we can offer places for children who receive either:

​

  • Free for Two funding

  • Working Parents Entitlement for 9 months, 2 year olds, and 3 and 4 year olds

  • 30 Government funding scheme

Our pattern has is in written agreement with KCC

Working Parents Entitlement and Universal funding for 9 months, 2 years and 3 and 4 year olds:

Subject to availability, a child can access one totally free universal place in the following way - 

1 x 10 hour day and 1 x 5 hour day, per week = 15 hours per week, term time only, for a maximum of 38 weeks (540 hours per year)

Extended funding for 3 and 4 year olds:

A child can access one totally free extended place in the following way - 

3 x 10 hour days per week = 30 hours per week, term time only, for a maximum of 38 weeks (1140 hours per year)

NO DEPOSIT will be taken when booking a completely funded place with us.

Should a deposit be taken in the initial stages of booking, and financial circumstance change regarding access to a totally free funded place the deposit will be given back within 6 weeks of joining.
